Apart from its incomparable security level, the KRX-1 series has an
excellent voice recognition and performance over all kinds of existing
analog systems and repeaters e.g. conventional, simplex, trunking, voting,
simulcast, etc.
The KRX-1 series modules are supported by a
wireline programming software as well as
by
OTeR (Over
The Air encrypted Re-programming). The OTeR is mainly used to Display &
Kill a given secured radio, while all the messages between the OTeR & the
radios are highly encrypted. The softwares are user-friendly, and
contain many programmable options.
      
NOTE:
in spite of the very tricky name, all the Transcrypt "DES" series modules
are Analog Scramblers, and absolutely Not digital encryption.
