KV1120PRO’s main
advantages over the competition…
n
Incomparable
Encryption Quantity: 4.523
x 1074 Encryption Processes (i.e. 75 digits!)
n
Some
companies claim that their “frequency hopping” scramblers change frequencies
hundreds of times per second thereby implying that their scrambler offers
higher security. However, because such frequency changes are very minute they
are actually utilizing frequency sweeping rather than true frequency hopping. Frequency sweeping makes a continuous change that may be
tracked with tracking phase lock loop (PLL) circuitry. KAVIT avoids this problem by utilizing a true pseudo-random High Rate Frequency-Hopping
circuitry with random dwell time that is difficult to track.
n
Some
companies use Over The Air Re-programming method. However, their encryption
parameters are sent over the air, thus enabling an unauthorized user to easily receive and
decode ALL subsequent conversations ! KAVIT avoids this by using the SBEP interface for programming the
Option Board. Programming the KV1120PRO via the Radio’s SBEP interface ensures
that encryption parameters are NEVER transmitted over the air.
n Competitive products do not specify any changing factor for each PTT conversation in their datasheet (in the best case, "some randomization element"). Consequently, for a given programmed key (until re-programmed to a different value, and this practically might take a [very] long time due to logistic issues), the same sequence (or in the best case some small number of sequences) repeated every PTT conversation ! (same scrambled process every PTT - what means if an attacker broke one scrambled PTT call, he actually broke all the PTT messages which were and will be done with the same key)
n
The
KV1120PRO can receive up to 5 Different CodeKeys (Digital Private Line Codes;
4,294,967,296 combinations per each code) Simultaneously. This is effectively equivalent to 5 different groups.
n
Current
drain from the Radio’s
battery in a standby
mode is miniscule: Less
than 1.3mA !
